PHOTOS: VCHS softball vs Calexico -- CIF play-in

Valley Center's varsity softball team hosted Calexico on Tuesday in a CIF Division II play-in game.
The Lady Jaguars dominated in a 10-0 win that moves them into the CIF Division II double-elimination playoff tournament, beginning on Thursday with a game at Escondido HS at 3:30 p.m.

Moyla Devers and Nia Hutton each had a home run for the Lady Jags against Calexico, while Emma Sloman was outstanding in pitching a shutout.

Moyla Devers sent this pitch out of the park for a home run.

Kiana Diefenbach (above) threw home to Sukie Turner (below) for the out at the plate. 

Nia Hutton smashed this pitch for a home run.

Ouch...Jasmine Contreras took this pitch off the helmet. She was fine, but probably would have preferred a traditional walk. Any way you can get on base, right?  :)
