PHOTOS: VCHS softball vs Orange Glen

Everybody in a Jaguar uniform was hitting on Wednesday, as the Valley Center varsity softball team hosted Orange Glen and rolled to a 10-0 victory in five innings.

Leilani Diefenbach smashed two home runs--including a grand slam in the bottom of the fourth--as the Lady Jags racked up 11 hits in the big win.

Nia Hutton pitched a no-hitter for Valley Center, allowing only two walks and striking out two in five innings.

Here are some photos from the game:

This was after Leilani Diefenbach's first home run of the game.

Ouch...Brie Dunckel wasn't happy about taking this pitch squarely in the back.

Moyla Devers got caught in a rundown going home, then got tagged in the face for good measure. Another ouch.

Leilani Diefenbach's second home run of the game--this one was a grand slam over the fence in right-centerfield.

My favorite softball photos are the ones that catch that split second when the pitcher is completely airborne. Great delivery, Nia!  :)
