VCHS Powder Puff Football 2010

Every spring, the young ladies at Valley Center High School prove that football isn't just for the boys, as the seniors play the juniors in a flag football contest known as the Powder Puff football game.

This year, the class of 2010 came into the game as the favorite, but the class of 2011 put up a good fight, especially on defense, and nearly came back. The seniors took a 12-8 win, but if the game had lasted another five minutes, the juniors might just have pulled it out.

Not only did the girls play a solid, entertaining game, but the boys did their part, providing the halftime entertainment with cheer routines that...well...let's just say you probably won't be seeing these at your average high school football game this fall.

The Jags took on the Ramona Bulldogs at 10 a.m., hoping to hang on to a share of first place in the Valley League. But the Bulldogs kept the Jags off the board in a 3-0 loss for Valley Center.
